Men's Soccer Sixth in NAIA Coaches' Poll

COLUMBIA, Ky.- The Lindsey Wilson men's soccer team sits at No. 6 in the final NAIA Top-25 Coaches' Poll, announced by the national office on Wednesday.

The Blue Raiders garnered 380 points in the poll. Lindsey Wilson sits at 12-3-1 on the season and 4-2 in the Mid-South Conference. After defeating Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) 2-1 in the MSC quarterfinals, the Blue Raiders exited the MSC tournament in the semifinals with a 3-0 loss to Bethel (Tenn.).

The Blue Raiders are outscoring their opponents 40 to 15 on the season while outshooting the competition 19.8 to 8.7.

Oklahoma Wesleyan sits atop the poll with 509 points and 17 of the 18 first-place votes. MidAmerica Nazarene (Kan.) is second with 477 points, while Keiser (Fla.) is third with 472 points and the final first-place vote.

Cumberlands (Ky.), Cumberlands (Tenn.) and Bethel also represent the MSC in the top 10 of the poll. The Patriots are eighth with 360 points while the Phoenix sit directly behind with 356 points. Bethel is slotted 10th with 340 points.

Men's soccer will wait to see if it earns an at-large bid into the NAIA National Tournament. The selection show will take place on November 14, at 5 P.M. CT.
