COLUMBIA, Ky. – The (RV) Lindsey Wilson women's volleyball team is back in the NAIA National Tournament for the second consecutive season and 13
th time in program history after earning an at-large bid into the 48-team field, the national office announced Monday.
The Blue Raiders – 29-10 – will travel north to Grand Rapids, Michigan to challenge No. 21 Aquinas (Mich.) on Saturday, November 22, at the Sturrus Sports & Fitness Center.
The Saints – 32-5 – won the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference regular season and tournament championship and enter the national tournament on a nine-match winning streak.
Lindsey Wilson and Aquinas met earlier this season on September 6 in Grand Rapids with the Blue Raiders overcoming a 2-1 deficit before falling in five. That match-up was only the second all-time between the two and the first since August 31, 1997.
Cumberlands (Ky.) will also represent the Mid-South Conference as its automatic qualifier. The Patriots host Columbia International (S.C.) on Saturday in Williamsburg.
