COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson women's wrestling team moved up two spots to No. 6 in the latest NAIA Women's Wrestling Coaches' Top 20 Poll, the national office announced Thursday.
The Blue Raiders garnered 126 points in the poll to move up two spots from the previous poll.
10 Lindsey Wilson grapplers are ranked in their respective weight classes.
Reagan Thomas checks in at 16th in the 110-pound weight class, while
Callie Payton is fifth at 117 pounds, and
Grace Lashinsky is eighth at 117 pounds.
Kamilah Brooks is slotted at No. 7 at 124 pounds, while Jelia Ramos is ninth at 131 pounds.
Lexi Ritchie and
Brielle Bibla are eighth and 13th at 138 pounds, respectively.
Kori Campbell is ranked ninth at 145 pounds, while
Mallory Ladd is 15th at 180 pounds.
Hayeni Costa is the highest-ranked Blue Raider in the poll, coming in at No. 4 in the 207-pound class.
Life (Ga.) leads all MSC schools coming in at No. 1 with 193 points. Indiana Tech is fifth with 130 points, while Cumberlands (Ky.) is also in the top 10 with 116 points, coming in eighth. Campbellsville (Ky.) is ranked 19th with 55 points. Lourdes (Ohio), Montreat (N.C.), and Rochester Christian are mentioned in the receiving votes section of the poll.
Grand View (Iowa) is slotted second with 172 points while William Penn (Iowa) is third with 165 points. Providence (Mont.) is ranked fourth with 151 points.
The Blue Raiders are back in action on Friday for the Missouri Valley Open in Marshall, Missouri.
