The Lindsey Wilson University tennis programs have called the Henry Baughman Tennis Complex home since its dedication prior to the 2010 season. Thanks to the generosity of Henry Baughman, the facility transformed Blue Raider tennis by expanding from three courts to six and providing a premier venue for practices and competition.

Equipped with lighting for evening training and matches, the complex allows the Blue Raiders to host home competitions on the university's A.P. White Campus. Since moving into the facility, Lindsey Wilson tennis has enjoyed tremendous success. Following the 2025-26 season, the men's program owns a 101-5 all-time record at the complex, while the women's team is 94-5.

A native of Smithfield, Kentucky, Baughman made the lead gift that funded the $425,000 project. His commitment to tennis and higher education has left a lasting impact on generations of student-athletes.

Baughman, a retired professor at Western Kentucky University, helped establish the university's emergency medical technician training program and has been one of Kentucky's most accomplished tennis players. He was inducted into the Kentucky Tennis Hall of Fame in 1996 and earned numerous state, regional, and national honors throughout a playing career spanning more than six decades.

His achievements include being ranked No. 1 in Kentucky more than 60 times, earning 15 No. 1 rankings in the nine-state USTA Southern region, winning 13 National Public Parks Tennis Championships, capturing five National Senior Olympic gold medals, and achieving a national ranking as high as No. 4 in the 70-and-over division.

The Henry Baughman Tennis Complex stands as a testament to Baughman's dedication to both tennis and education, providing Lindsey Wilson student-athletes with a first-class facility and an enduring foundation for championship success.
