The following will serve as Lindsey Wilson University athletics’ policies pertaining to the Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) for all LWC student-athletes.
All Lindsey Wilson student-athletes that have agreed with a third-party to be compensated for their NIL must register their Name, Image, and Likeness agreement through Opendorse. You may sign-up or login to an existing account by logging on to the
Opendorse website.
Any form of payment or remuneration is considered compensation. Lindsey Wilson student-athletes may not use any Lindsey Wilson University trademarks (including logos, team and University names, mascot or any copyrighted content) when receiving compensation from a third-party without prior permission from the Lindsey Wilson University athletics department.
LWU student-athletes are not permitted to enter into any NIL agreements for the following entities that involves or promotes:
- Sports Wagering
- Alcohol and tobacco
- Adult entertainment
- Other higher education institutions and their related services
LWU student-athletes may not miss any academic responsibilities or team activities to participate in any activities revolving around the student-athletes’ participation involving compensation for NIL.
Failure to follow the rules stated in this document may result in a suspension of athletic scholarship, suspension from team activities, or dismissal from the athletic program.
Lindsey Wilson international student-athletes should not enter into any compensation agreement without first ensuring it complies with Visa and immigration requirements.
LWU student-athletes should understand that a NIL agreement may impact their Pell grant and/or other financial aid. Questions regarding aid should be directed to the Lindsey Wilson University financial aid office.
