Box Score HENDERSON, Tenn. -- The Lindsey Wilson College women's basketball team suffered their first loss of the season on Saturday night, falling to No. 2-ranked Freed Hardeman (Tenn.) University 74-56 in the FHU Classic.
Lindsey Wilson (1-1) held the Lady Lions to 33.3 percent (17 for 51) shooting from the field, but could not overcome 28 turnovers and Freed Hardeman's free throw shooting. The Lady Lions (2-0) made 30 of 36 free throws (81 percent), outscoring the Blue Raiders 14 points from the charity stripe.
The Blue Raiders kept the game close early shooting 42.9 percent from the field in the first half. Lindsey Wilson shot 48.7 percent (19 for 39) for the game. Sophomore center Tarren Duncan led the Blue Raiders making seven of 10 for a game-high 16 points. She also grabbed a team-high six rebounds. 
Lindsey Wilson continued to apply pressure on both ends of the court in the second half, knocking down 55.6 percent from the field and limiting the Lady Lions to 27.6 percent shooting from the field. But untimely turnovers and stellar Freed Hardeman free throw shooting (17 for 21 in the second half) closed the door on the Blue Raiders' upset bid.

Krystal Jackson scored nine points off the Lindsey Wilson bench. Junior guard 
Tiffany Reid added five points and eight assists.
Freed Hardeman's Ashley Robertson led the Lady Lions with 15 points. Kera Bergeron added 12 points.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 2 p.m. CT on Saturday, November 5, as the Blue Raiders host Kentucky Reach in an exhibition game at Biggers Sports Center. The game is the first of a women's and men's doubleheader, the Lindsey Wilson men play Spalding (Ky.) University at 4 p.m. CT, as part of Homecoming Weekend at Lindsey Wilson.
