Box Score COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Lindsey Wilson College women's basketball used a strong performance in the paint to defeat Brescia (Ky.) University 71-56 on Monday night in Biggers Sports Center.
The Blue Raiders (19-8) dominated in the paint and outscored the undersized Bearcats 48-26 in the post. Lindsey Wilson junior forward
Demoya Williams led the way underneath with 15 points and seven rebounds. Joining Williams in the paint were freshman center Tarren Duncan, who added 15 points and senior forward
Tiffany Jones, who chipped in 10.
Lindsey Wilson controlled the tempo for most of the first half while building an 11-point lead (34-23) with 4:17 to play. Brescia made an 11-4 run to finish out the half and cut the Blue Raider lead to 38-34.
Brescia (8-22) started the second half the same way they ended the first -- by using a 12-4 run to take their largest lead of the game, 46-42. Lindsey Wilson answered with a 12-0 run to rebuild its lead to 54-46. The Blue Raiders did not trail for the rest of the game.
The Blue Raiders gained their largest lead of 18 with 3:33 remaining.
Lindsey Wilson shot 52.8 percent (28 of 53) in picking up another home win. The Blue Raiders are 9-1 at Biggers Sports Center this season.

Bearcat senior guard Charity Croger scored a game-high 16 points in the loss.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 5:30 p.m. CT on Tuesday at Biggers Sports Center as the Blue Raiders take on another non-conference opponent in Knoxville (Tenn.) College.
