Box Score COLUMBIA, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College men's and women's tennis teams continued their impressive start over the weekend at various sites.
The No. 8-ranked Lindsey Wilson men went 2-1 over the weekend and the No. 14-ranked women remained unbeaten with a 2-0 weekend.
The LWC women defeated three ranked teams en route to improving to 6-0 on the season.
On Saturday, Lindsey Wilson beat No. 8-ranked Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) University 5-4 in Henderson, Tennessee. In a rematch of last season's region finals, the Blue Raiders avenged the loss by winning two of the three doubles matches and splitting the six singles matches.
Lindsey Wilson improved to 6-0 on the season with a 7-2 win over No. 19-ranked Oklahoma Christian University on Saturday afternoon in Henderson.
On the men's side, Lindsey Wilson began the weekend with a 4-3 win over NCAA's University of Tennessee-Chattanooga. Playing in Chattanooga, the NCAA scoring system was used that awards one point for winning the majority of doubles points.
UTC won the doubles point, but Lindsey Wilson won four of the six singles to win the march.
The Blue Raiders dropped their first match of the season on Saturday losing 5-4 to No. 5-ranked Freed-Hardeman in Henderson. Freed won two of three doubles and split the six singles to earn the win.
Lindsey Wilson bounced back later that afternoon with a 7-2 win over No. 24-ranked Oklahoma Christian.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 2 p.m. CT on Wednesday, March 15, as the Blue Raiders host Shorter (Ga.) College in a men's and women's dual match.
