NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The Lindsey Wilson College women's golf team ran away with the Trevecca Nazarene Invitational by 31 strokes this week at the Hermitage Golf Course in Nashville, Tennessee.
Lindsey Wilson shot a two-day total of 671 (342-329) to pull away from host Trevecca Nazarene (Tenn.) University, who finished with a team-total of 702 (352-350). The team title is the fifth straight for Lindsey Wilson, dating back to the fall schedule, and the sixth overall.
Sophomore
Beth Cooper led the charge as she tied for medalist honors with a two-day tally of 159 (80-79). The individual victory is the second of the year for the Russell Springs, Kentucky native, as she won the Kentucky Wesleyan Invitational Tournament on September 16, 2005.
Sophomore
Jessica Robertson earned all-tournament honors with a third place finish of 163 (84-79). Freshman
Aline Decker (94-83) and junior
Stacy McClain (89-88) tied for seventh with a 177. Sophomore
Lindsay Roberts rounded out the Blue Raider finishers tied for ninth at 178 (89-89).
The No. 17-ranked Blue Raiders return to the links on April 22 as Lindsey Wilson participates in the Centre College Invitational at the Old Bridge Golf Club in Danville, Kentucky.
