GEORGETOWN, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College women's golf team won their second straight invitational this spring as they captured the Georgetown College Invitational on Thursday in Georgetown, Kentucky.
No. 17 Lindsey Wilson shot a team total of 331 on the par-72, 6,004-yard course at Cherry Blossom Golf Club. No. 24 Campbellsville (Ky.) University finished second with 347 and host Georgetown (Ky.) College placed third with 356.
Blue Raider sophomore
Jessica Robertson won medalist honors with a score of 77 (37-40), two strokes better than the runner-up. For Robertson, a Russell Springs, Kentucky, native, the tournament win is the second of her career.
Beth Cooper finished tied for second with a 79 (38-41).
Aline Decker (87) tied for seventh,
Lindsay Roberts (88) tied for 10th,
Stacy McClain (98) finished 16th and
Vicky Whitelaw (110) finished 17th to round out the Blue Raiders.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action on April 10-11 as the Blue Raiders participate in the Trevecca Nazarene Invitational at the Hermitage Golf Course in Nashville, Tennessee.
