NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The Lindsey Wilson College men's cross country team finished 10th at the Southeastern Cross County Classic at Vaughn's Gap Course in Percy Warner Park.
The Blue Raiders scored 295 points in the 22-team event. Lindsey Wilson competed without three regulars due to injuries, including reigning Mid-South Conference men's runner of the week David Mutuse.
Lindsey Wilson freshman Christopher Kipchirchir led the Blue Raiders with an 18th place finish. The Eldoret, Kenya, native, ran the 8,000-meter course in 26 minutes and 52 seconds.
Junior Koji Hashiyama crossed the finish line in 22nd place with a time of 27:05.
Freshmen Brad Bilbro and Aaron Rousseau finished 100th and 103rd with times of 29:58 and 30:02 respectively. Junior Caleb LaFond ended with a time of 30:12 and a 111th place finish and freshman Tony Perugini finished with a time of 33:17 and in 166th place.
No. 1-ranked Malone (Ohio) College won the classic with 22 points. Malone placed seven harriers in the top-nine. Union (Tenn.) University freshman Henry Rop won the event with a time of 24:59.
Lindsey Wilson completes the regular season with the Southeastern Classic. The Blue Raiders return to action on November 3 in the MSC / NAIA Region XI Championships in Johnson City, Tenn.
