NORMAL, Ill. -- The Lindsey Wilson College women's golf team won their toughest outing of the season in the Illinois Wesleyan University Spring Fling at the Ironwood Golf Club.
The Blue Raiders -- ranked No. 3 in the NAIA -- held off a pair of NCAA Division III schools to win their fifth tournament of the spring and 10th of the season.
Lindsey Wilson shot a two-day total of 646 (327-319) over the 5,908-yard, par 72 Ironwood track to beat second place University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point (329-325) -- Golfstat's No. 10-ranked NCAA Division III team -- by eight strokes.
NCAA-III's No. 7-ranked Wisconsin-Eau Claire finished third with a 662 (330-332) on a pair of bitterly cold days with high winds.
Host Illinois Wesleyan finished fourth with a team-total of 664 (342-322) and No. 13-ranked William Woods (Mo.) University -- one of five NAIA schools to compete in the 14-team field -- finished fifth with a 676 (347-329).

Krista Burton claimed medalist honors with a two-day total of 151 (74-77) to win by four strokes.
Burton, a Russell Springs, Ky., native, was named the 10-person all-tournament team following her fifth straight win of the season.
Junior
Jessica Robertson (86-78) and freshman Cheslee Elkins (81-83) finished tied for eighth with a tournament total of 164 to earn all-tournament honors.

Beth Cooper fired a 167 (86-81) for the tournament to finish tied for 17, while junior
Lindsay Roberts' 176 (87-89) tied for 49th.
Sophomore
Aline Decker finished tied for 11th with a 165 (78-87) playing as an individual.
The Blue Raiders return to action on Thursday, April 19, and Friday, April 20, as they compete in the MSC/NAIA Region XI Championships at the Cherry Blossom Golf Club in Georgetown, Ky.
