CAMPBELLVILLE, Ky. -- For the second consecutive tournament the Lindsey Wilson College women's golf team and junior Krista Burton walked away winners.
Lindsey Wilson shot a two-day team total of 644 (324-320) to claim the Don Bishop Invitational hosted by Campbellsville (Ky.) University at Campbellsville Country Club.
Campbellsville finished second with a 687 (343-344) and Brescia (Ky.) University finished third with 692 (342-350).
Burton claimed medalist honors as she led four Blue Raiders to earn all-tournament honors. Burton shot a two-day total of 153 (76-77) to claim her third title of the fall in as many tournaments.
Junior Jessica Smith finished second with a 161 (81-80) and senior Aline Decker (82-83) and sophomore Chelsey Key (85-80) tied for fourth with 165s. Junior Tracy McClain finished tied for 27th with a 215 (105-110).
Lindsey Wilson returns to action on Monday, Oct. 6-7 as the Blue Raiders travel to the Trevecca Nazarene (Tenn.) University in Nashville, Tenn.
