NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The Lindsey Wilson College women's golf team struggled today and dropped a spot to finish in second place at the Trevecca Nazarene University Fall Invitational played at Ravenwood Country Club.
The Blue Raiders shot a season-high 332 on Tuesday to finish with a two-day total of 655 (323-332). Bethel (Ind.) College won the two-day event with a team total of 649 (325-324). University of Mobile (Ala.) finished third with a 683 (335-348).
Lindsey Wilson junior Krista Burton led the Blue Raiders with a two-day total of 155 (76-79) over the par 72, 5,843 yard course.
Junior Jessica Smith's 162 (79-83) and sophomore Chelsey Key's 165 (83-82) earned the pair top-10 finishes. Smith ended in eighth and Key tied for ninth in the 46-woman field.
Lindsey Wilson senior Aline Decker finished 20th with a 173 (85-88) and junior Tracy McClain ended in a tie for 38th with a 203 (95-108).
Lee (Tenn.) University's Rachel Ingram won the event with a two-day total of 148 (73-75).
The Blue Raiders conclude their fall schedule at the Chick-fil-A Invitational hosted by Berry (Ga.) College in Rome, Ga. The tournament begins on Monday, Oct. 13 and concludes on Tuesday, Oct. 14 at Coosa Country Club.
