Box Score NEW ALBANY, IND. -- Sophomore center Viktoria Krell recorded her fifth double-double of the season as the Lindsey Wilson College women's basketball team beat host Indiana University Southeast 53-40 today at the Southeast Activity Building.
Krell scored 12 points and grabbed a game-high 16 rebounds helping the Blue Raiders to a 49-35 rebounding advantage.
Lindsey Wilson sophomore forward Bethany Spillman led all scorers with 13 points. Junior guard Sierra Rambert chipped in with 12 points.
The Blue Raiders improve to 10-2 on the season despite shooting just 31.1 percent (19-of-61) from the field. Lindsey Wilson made just two of its 13 (15.4 percent) three-pointers.
While struggling on the offensive end, the Blue Raiders excelled on the defensive end.
IU-Southeast (4-6) shot a frigid 25.5 percent (14-of-55) from the field, including 5-of-18 (27.8 percent) from beyond the three-point arc. The Grenadiers also committed 21 turnovers in the loss.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 6 p.m. CT on Monday, Dec. 15, as the Blue Raiders host Midway (Ky.) College at Biggers Sports Center.
