COLUMBIA, Ky. ‑‑ Lindsey Wilson College freshman center Viktoria Krell has been named Mid-South Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending February 10, 2008, according to the conference.

The MSC award is Krell's second conference player of the week award this season and the second of her career.

Krell averaged 26.5 points and 13.5 rebounds this week as the Blue Raiders split a pair of conference games with Pikeville (Ky.) College and Georgetown (Ky.) College.

In the Pikeville win, Krell set career highs with 28 points and 16 rebounds as Lindsey Wilson beat the Lady Bears 85-72 on Thursday at Biggers Sports Center.

On Saturday, Krell recorded her seventh double-double of the season with 25 points and 11 rebounds in Lindsey Wilson's 77-71 loss at Georgetown.

The Ludwigsburg, Germany, native, averages 10.7 points and 7.5 rebounds per game this season.

Lindsey Wilson is 16-9 on the season and tied atop the Mid-South Conference with a 4-1 record at the halfway point of the MSC season.
