COLUMBIA, Ky. ‑‑ Lindsey Wilson College freshman center Viktoria Krell has been named Mid-South Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending February 17, 2008, according to the conference.

The MSC honor marks the second straight week the Ludwigsburg, Germany, native, has been selected conference player of the week. She has been selected player of the week in the Mid-South three times this season.

In addition to her three conference player of the week awards this season, Krell has been selected as NAIA National Player of the Week once.

Krell scored 20 points and grabbed 12 rebounds against No. 20-ranked University of the Cumberlands (Ky.), the Blue Raiders only game last week. The double-double was her eighth of the season.

Krell averages 11.1 points and 7.7 rebounds per game this season. She leads the team making 57 percent of her shots on the season.

Lindsey Wilson is 17-9 on the season and tied atop the Mid-South Conference with a 5-1 record.
