Duncan, Krell Lead Women's Basketball to 91-72 Rout of W.Va. Tech

COLUMBIA, Ky. -- The inside duo of Lindsey Wilson College senior center Terran Duncan and freshman forward Viktoria Krell produced 50 points and 19 rebounds as the Blue Raiders beat visiting West Virginia Tech University 91-72 on Saturday at Biggers Sports Center.

Duncan, an Edmonton, Ky., native, followed her 29-point performance at Campbellsville on Thursday night with 22 points and nine rebounds as the Blue Raiders won their seventh straight game.

Krell scored a career-high 28 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for her fifth double-double of the season.

The pair combined to make 22-of-34 shots as Lindsey Wilson shot 52.3 percent (34-of-65) from the field as a team. Lindsey Wilson also dominated the glass, out-rebounding the visitors 47-19.

Lindsey Wilson (15-8 overall, 3-0 in the Mid-South Conference) used a 25-10 run over the final five minutes of the first half to build a 49-34 halftime lead. Tech (12-11, 1-2) closed to within nine points on a pair of occasions in the second half before Lindsey Wilson regained control and remain atop the MSC standings.

Lindsey Wilson junior reserve Ewa Bukowska added 13 points to join Duncan and Krell in double figures.

Tech senior guards Keirra Wilkins and Shantrelle Mattews each added 19 points to lead the Lady Golden Bears.

Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 6 p.m. CT on Thursday, February 7, as the Blue Raiders host Pikeville (Ky.) College at Biggers Sports Center.
