MIDWAY, Ky. -- Junior Viktoria Krell came off the bench to tally 23 points and 12 rebounds, but it was not enough as the 18th ranked Lindsey Wilson College women's basketball team fell to Midway (Ky.) College 73-72 on Saturday at Marshall Gymnasium.

Sophomore Lindsey Waters was the only other Blue Raiders in double figures with 14 points and nine rebounds. Midway was led by the trio of Kayla Shull (20 points), Jackie Hicks (15) and Erica Smiley (14).

The Eagles blistered the nets from three-point range, nailing 7-of-12 attempts. Lindsey Wilson struggled from behind the arc (2-of-12) and from the field, shooting 41.5 percent to lose despite winning the rebound battle 38-34.

Lindsey Wilson led Midway in steals (7-4), blocks (1-0) and committed fewer turnovers (17-24), but shooting woes negated the hustle-stat effort.

The Blue Raiders return to action at 3 p.m. CT on Friday, Dec. 18 against Indiana Wesleyan University in Campbellsville, Ky. The next day, Midway visits Biggers Sports Center at 4 p.m.
