Box Score PIKEVILLE, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College women's basketball team suffered a one point defeat in the final seconds to Pikeville (Ky.) College 59-58 today.
Pikeville senior Whitney Hogg scored on a put-back with 7.2 seconds left to give the Bears a one point lead. Lindsey Wilson sophomore Diondra Anthony missed a three-pointer as time expired, giving Pikeville (16-8, 3-4 in the Mid-South Conference) the victory.
No. 24-ranked Lindsey Wilson (18-7, 4-3) was led by junior Sierra Rambert's 14 points. Sophomore Viktoria Krell chipped in with 13 points and eight rebounds. Anthony added 10 points, four steals and three rebounds.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 2 p.m. CT on Saturday, Feb. 14, as the Blue Raiders host the University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) at Biggers Sports Center.
