Box Score

FRANKFORT, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College women's basketball team used a 29-0 run to help the Blue Raiders to a 75-26 win over West Virginia University Tech on Friday in the Mid-South Conference Tournament's opening round at the Frankfort Civic Center.

The No. 18-ranked and third-seeded Blue Raiders advance to Saturday's semifinals to face No. 12-ranked and second-seeded University of the Cumberlands.

Lindsey Wilson sophomore center Viktoria Krell -- the MSC Player of the Year -- recorded her conference-leading 18th double-double of the season with 20 points and 11 rebounds.

Krell's rebounding prowess helped the Blue Raiders (24-7) out-rebound the Golden Bears (2-27) 52-20 for the game.

While Lindsey Wilson struggled on the offensive end, the Blue Raiders limited West Virginia Tech to just 22.7 percent (10-of-44) shooting from the field -- including 0-for-13 from beyond the three-point arc -- and 22 turnovers.

Lindsey Wilson junior Sierra Rambert scored 16 points in the win, while West Virginia Tech sophomore Ashley Blaney led the Golden Bears with 16 points.

The Blue Raiders return to action at noon CT on Saturday, March 7, against Cumberlands. The MSC Tournament Championship is set for noon CT on Sunday, March 8.
