Box Score COLUMBIA, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College men's tennis team won its fifth match of the season defeating Martin Methodist (Tenn.) College today 7-2 in Pulaski, Tennessee.
Lindsey Wilson (5-4, 2-0 in the Mid-South Conference) won the singles matches 4-2 and swept the doubles matches 3-0.
Reigning MSC Player of the Week, junior Freddy Luciani won his third straight singles match defeating Vinivias Santos 6-4, 6-3. Sophomore Andre Santos won his match in three sets 6-4, 1-6, 6-4 and senior Edward Khan picked up a win 6-2, 7-5.
Sophomore Falk Debeenhower won his match in a pro set, 8-1.
Juniors Justin Martin (3-6, 2-6) and Andrews Moraes (6-7, 7-5, 4-6) suffered defeats.
In the doubles matches, Moraes and Santos narrowly escaped Santos and Melvin Prada 9-7 in the number one match. Luciani and Khan cruised 8-3 and Debeenhower and Martin escaped with a 9-8 victory.
This is the third straight win for Lindsey Wilson. The Blue Raiders have not lost in nearly two weeks.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action on Tuesday, April 21, as the Blue Raiders travel to Brescia (Ky.) University.
