INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Three Blue Raiders claimed the top three spots to help lead No. 10-ranked Lindsey Wilson to a victory in the Battle at the Brickyard hosted by University of Saint Francis (Ind.) at Brickyard Crossings.
Lindsey Wilson junior Krista Burton was the individual leader for the tournament leading the Blue Raiders shooting 150 (73-77) over the two-day event.
Junior Jessica Smith finished second overall with a round total of 152 (76-76) and sophomore Chelsey Key shot a 153 (76-77) to finish third overall.
Each of the three Blue Raiders made the All-Tournament team.
The Blue Raiders shot 622 (309-313) as a team defeating NCAA Division II No. 10-ranked University of Indianapolis (Ind.) (631) by nine strokes. Marian (Ind.) College finished third shooting 671 overall.
Lindsey Wilson junior Cheslee Stone finished 19th following a 171 (84-87) and freshman Paola Gonzalez tied for 20th with a shot total of 172 (89-83).
Senior Aline Decker, playing as an individual, tied for ninth overall shooting a 163 (83-80) for the tournament.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action on Monday and Tuesday, April 27-28, for the Mid-South Conference Championships at the Nevel Meade Golf Club in Louisville, Ky.
