Box Score GEORGETOWN, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College men's tennis team swept the University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) 5-0 today in the semi-finals of the Mid-South Conference Tournament.
Sophomore Andre Santos (6-1, 6-1) and senior Edward Khan (6-2, 6-2) both won in straight sets giving the Blue Raiders a 2-0 lead before doubles play.
In the doubles matches, sophomore Andrews Moraes and Santos won 8-5 in the number one match. Junior Freddy Luciani and Khan cruised 8-2 and sophomore Falk Debeenhower and junior Justin Martin rolled with an 8-2 victory.
The match was called when the score reached 5-0 as a mercy rule. Junior Freddy Luciani and sophomore Andrews Moraes -- who were leading -- did not finish their matches.
Lindsey Wilson advances to the MSC Championship match against No. 2-seeded Georgetown (Ky.) College later this afternoon in Georgetown, Ky.
