MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- The Lindsey Wilson College men's tennis team was swept in the 2009 Blue and Grey Jamboree in Montgomery, Ala. this past week.

On Thursday, Lindsey Wilson (2-4) was swept 8-0 by Armstrong Atlantic State (Ga.) University. Armstrong won each single match in two sets and swept the doubles categories.

The next day the Blue Raiders were defeated by the University of Northern Alabama 5-4. Lindsey Wilson split singles play but was beat 2-1 in doubles play to give Northern Alabama the win.

Junior Freddy Luciani, sophomore Andrews Moraes and senior Eddie Khan all picked up victories on Friday.

In the final match of the tournament on Saturday Lindsey Wilson was defeated 7-2 by West Florida University. West Florida swept the doubles matches and won four of the six singles matchups.

Luciani and sophomore Andre Santos picked up the only victories for the Blue Raiders.

Before the tournament on Wednesday, April 1, Auburn University (Ala.) Montgomery defeated the Blue Raiders 9-0.

Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 1 p.m. CT on Wednesday, April 8, against the University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) at the Blue Raider Tennis Courts.
