Box Score LEBANON, Ill. -- The Lindsey Wilson College women's basketball team shot 71-percent from the field in the second half to complete a 93-76 come-from-behind win today over Missouri Baptist University at the McKendree University Classic.
The No. 18-ranked Blue Raiders (4-1) connected on 22 of their 31 shots after the break and turned a six-point halftime deficit 37-43) into a blowout win.
Seniors Viktoria Krell and Bethany Spillman and sophomore Ashley Rainey dominated the interior for Lindsey Wilson en route to the win. The Blue Raiders outscored Missouri Baptist (3-5) 54-14 inside the paint.
Rainey led the way making all 14 of her shots from the field. The Bowling Green, Ky., native added 4-of-5 from the free throw line to finish the game with a career-high 32 points.
Krell recorded her second straight double-double with 24 points and 13 rebounds, while Spillman added a season-high 18 points in the win. Senior Diondra Anthony just missed a double-double of her own with 14 points and nine assists.
While Lindsey Wilson proved to be efficient offensively -- connecting on 61.3 percent (38-of-62) from the field -- the Blue Raiders also dominated the boards. Lindsey Wilson out-rebounded the Spartans 42-20.
Missouri Baptist's Alexis Rhodes led three Spartans in double figures with 28 points.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 2 p.m. CT on Saturday, Nov. 27, against host McKendree.
