Box Score NEW ALBANY, Ind. -- Ashley Rainey tallied a career-high 39 points and 16 rebounds, but it wasn't enough as Indiana University Southeast erased a three-point halftime deficit to beat the 19th ranked Lindsey Wilson College women's basketball team 87-79 on Tuesday at the Southeast Activities Building.
Both teams shot over 50 percent from the field as the Grenadiers were led by Ashmere Woods with 28 points and Whitney Duncan with 26 points. Alden Krausse also finished in double figures with 14 points.
Lindsey Wilson (8-3) didn't get much help for Rainey other than Tiffany Williams with 14 points on four 3-pointers. Diondra Anthony dished out seven assists and Viktoria Krell snagged 10 rebounds, falling a point shy of a double-double with nine.
The Blue Raiders finished shooting 53.8 percent from the field and 35.3 percent from behind the arc, while IU-Southeast hit at a 50.8 percent clip from the field and 50.0 percent mark from three (14-of-28).
While the score shows Lindsey Wilson taking a loss, just about every other statistical category gives the Blue Raiders the advantage.
Lindsey Wilson held a 41-19 advantage on the glass and made 17 free throws compared to 11 for the Grenadiers.
The Blue Raiders return to action at 4 p.m. CT on Dec. 19 against fifth ranked St. Xavier University in Daytona Beach, Fla., for the Daytona Beach Shootout.
