WILMORE, Ky. -- Corey Hall took first place in the 100-yard butterfly helping the Lindsey Wilson College swimming team finish fifth in the Asbury Invitational hosted by Asbury (Ky.) College on Saturday.
Hall touched the wall in 54.52 seconds, edging Asbury's Pat Armstrong who finished second with a time of 54.92 seconds.
The freshman was a part of another strong finish in the 200-freestlye relay as Troy Jobe, Jonathan Hindman and Daniel Lyle joined him to take third place in 1:32.27. Asbury's team won the event with a time of 1:28.10.
Hall continued his strong day, finishing third in the 200-individual medley with a time of 2:04.94 and second in the 200-fly with a time of 1:59.19.
The same foursome that took third in the 200-relay had the same result in the 400-medley relay finishing in 3:39.89.
Hindman placed third in the 100-breastroke with a time of 1:02.72 and third in the 200-breast in 2:17.10, while Jobe also took third place in the 100-backstroke with a showing of 56.48 seconds.
Lindsey Wilson tallied 364 points over the two-day event to finish fifth. Asbury won the invitational with 815 points, Union (Ky.) College finished second with 587 points and Centre (Ky.) College rounded out the top three with 522 points.
The Blue Raiders return to action at 1 p.m. CT on Jan. 15 at Evansville (Ind.) University.
