Box Score COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Viktoria Krell put together a double-double performance of 24 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Lindsey Wilson College women's basketball team past Oakland City (Ind.) University 80-54 on Tuesday at Biggers Sports Center.
Krell was aided in scoring by Bethany Spillman who also notched a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds, while Sarah Gillis dished out a game-high eight assists.
Samantha Stahl led Oakland City with 14 points, while Berna Miranda and Kristi McVey each added 10.
Krell was unstoppable in the first half, shutting down every effort of a comeback by the Lady Oaks as she muscled her way to 18 points and eight rebounds by halftime. Krell added six points and three rebounds in the second half as Lindsey Wilson (15-8, 4-4 MSC) started to pull away.
Oakland City (7-13) shot just 35.0 percent from the field and 22.2 percent (4-of-18) from three-point range. The Blue Raiders hit 52.5 percent of their shots from the field and 73.3 percent (11-of-15) of their free throws.
Lindsey Wilson held a large rebound advantage as well (45-28) and dished out 21 assists compared to just nine for the Lady Oaks.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 6 p.m. CT on Thursday, Feb. 11 against University of Rio Grande (Ohio) at Biggers Sports Center.
