Box Score COLUMBIA, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College women's basketball team looks to even the season series with fifth ranked Campbellsville University as it faces the Lady Tigers at 5 p.m. CT on Thursday in Campbellsville, Ky.
Campbellsville beat the Blue Raiders 83-67 on Jan. 21 as Whitney Ballinger posted a double-double of 33 points and 22 rebounds at Biggers Sports Center. Sierra Rambert paced Lindsey Wilson with 18 points.
Campbellsville enters the game with an impressive resume near the end of the regular season. The Lady Tigers are 25-1 overall and 10-0 in Mid-South Conference play.
Led by Ballinger (21.7 ppg, 11.7 rpg), Campbellsville can score in bunches, averaging a conference best 86.7 points per contests, while limiting opponents to just 68.4 points.
Ballinger recorded 29 points and 13 rebounds in the 79-67 win against the University of Rio Grande (Ohio) on Saturday.
Lindsey Wilson (16-9, 5-5 MSC) lost its last conference contest after winning four straight games. University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) topped the Blue Raiders 66-52, despite 18 points and 13 rebounds from Viktoria Krell.
Krell and Ballinger are two of three players in the conference averaging a double-double this season. Shyla Jones (14.5 ppg, 12.4 rpg) of West Virginia Tech is the other. Krell carries averages of 16.8 points and 10.4 rebounds, while Ballinger averages 21.7 points and 11.7 boards a game.
Lindsey Wilson trails the all-time series against Campbellsville 16-37, including an 8-20 record on the road. The Blue Raiders, however, are 7-3 in the last 10 meetings with Campbellsville.
