ST. PETERS, Mo. -- The Lindsey Wilson College swimming team finished 15th with 18 team points at the NAIA Swimming & Diving National Championships on Saturday at the St. Peter's Rec-Plex.
For the third straight day, the relay team of freshmen Ivan Ivancic, Daniel Lyle, Daniel Pulliam and Jordan Green posted a qualifying time for a B-final race. The group finished with a time of three minutes and 22.98 seconds in the preliminaries of the 400-yard freestyle relay to qualify for the final.
The squad improved their time in the second race, touching in 3:22.35 to finish 14th in the event.
Lyle also swam in the 100-yard freestyle event where he finished 35th in preliminaries with a time of 49.06 seconds that failed to make the cut for the finals.
The top-15 finish in the relay race ended the first swimming season in Lindsey Wilson history that saw each member of the team qualify for the national championships during the regular season.
