CINCINNATI, Ohio -- The Lindsey Wilson College men's cross country finished eighth in the Blue Raiders' season opener today at the Queens City Invitational at the Voice of America Park.

Lindsey Wilson freshman Jairus Kipkemop led the Blue Raiders with a third place overall finish in the 135-man field. Kipkemop finished with a time of 15 minutes 16 seconds.

University of Cincinnati's (Ohio) Eric Finan won the event with a time of 14:46.

Lindsey Wilson scored 241 team points in the 12-team event. Xavier (Ohio) University finished first with 35 points while Cincinnati finished second with 52 points.

Lindsey Wilson's Jordan Green finished 53nd with a time of 17:46, while Matthew Mattingly (18:10) and Blake Hendricks (18:29) finished 59th and 62nd respectively.
