BARDSTOWN, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College women's golf team finished second at the St. Catharine College Fall Invitational played today at Bardstown Country Club at Maywood.
The Blue Raiders slipped out of their first-round lead today as University of Cumberlands passed Lindsey Wilson for the tournament title.
Cumberlands ended the two-day tournament with a team total of 631 (313-318) to beat the Blue Raiders by five shots. Lindsey Wilson finished with a 636 (310-326) for its second runner-up finish of the fall. Campbellsville University finished third with a 689 (342-347).
Lindsey Wilson sophomore Kaitlin Allan led the Blue Raider quintet with a two-day total of 154 (75-79). Allan finished eight strokes off Cumberlands' Laura Beth Harris who earned medalist honors with a 146 (68-78).
Lindsey Wilson senior Paola Gonzalez ended in fourth place with a 159 (75-84) and joined Allan and Harris on the all-tournament team.
Junior Kelsey Joslyn ended tied for fifth with a 162 (82-80) and junior Jennifer MacKinnon (78-90) and Candace Stacy (85-83) tied for ninth after carding 168s.
The Blue Raiders conclude their fall season with one win and two runner-ups in four tournaments. Lindsey Wilson returns in March for its spring season.
