MCDERMOTT, Ohio -- A trio of Blue Raiders earned all-tournament honors to help the Lindsey Wilson College women's golf team capture the Mid-South Conference Fall Tournament at Elks Country Club.
The Blue Raiders finished the two-day event with a team-total of 642 (319-323) to best second-place University of the Cumberlands by two strokes. The Patriots finished the tournament with a 644 (325-319).
Campbellsville University finished a distant third with a 676 (340-336) followed by Georgetown College, University of Pikeville and St. Catharine College.
With its win, Lindsey Wilson leads the chase for the MSC regular season title with a 5-0 record. Cumberlands is second at 4-1 followed by Campbellsville at 3-2.
Lindsey Wilson sophomore Kaitlin Allan, junior Kelsey Joslyn and senior Paola Gonzalez all earned all-tournament honors for finishing in the top-five.
Allan ended with a two-day total of 157 (78-79) over the 6,013-yard, par 74 course to finish runner-up, four strokes off Cumberlands' Laura Beth Harris' winning pace. Harris ended the tournament with a 153 (76-77).
Joslyn completed the tournament in a tie for third after shaving five strokes off her opening round 83. Joslyn's 78 enabled her to fire a two-day total of 161.
Gonzalez finished one stroke back of Joslyn with a 162 (81-81) good enough for fifth place.
Junior Jennifer MacKinnon finished tied for seventh with a 164 (77-87) and sophomore Candace Stacy ended tied for 11th with a 168 (83-85) to complete the Blue Raider quintet.
The win is the first of the season for the Blue Raiders after a fourth and second place finish to start the fall season.
Lindsey Wilson closes out the fall season on Oct.17-18 as the Blue Raiders travel to the St. Catharine Invitational at Bardstown Country Club at Maywood in Bardstown, Ky.
