Box Score LENANON, Tenn. -- Seniors Andrews Moraes and Andre Santos went undefeated on the day with a win in singles and doubles, but it was not enough for the team win as the No. 13 Lindsey Wilson College men's tennis team fell to Cumberland (Tenn.) University 5-4 on Tuesday.
Moraes topped Na'im Azaar at No. 2 singles 6-4, 6-7 (4), 6-4 and Santos won at No. 3 singles over Pedro Rodrigues 6-2, 7-5. The pair combined at first doubles for an 8-4 win against Cumberland's (2-1) Azaar and Evan Sanna in what would be the Blue Raiders' only point earned in doubles play.
Lindsey Wilson (0-2) got its third point of the day from sophomore Victir Saez who beat Sanna at No. 1 singles 6-1, 6-0.
The Blue Raiders were swept at Nos. 4-6 singles, putting them out of contention after also losing the second and third doubles' matches.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 1 p.m. CT on Friday, March 4 against Tennessee Wesleyan University at the Henry Baughman Tennis Complex in Columbia, Ky.
