BEREA, Ky. -- John-Paul Williamson earned a top-10 finish and the Lindsey Wilson College men's cross country team posted a ninth place today at the Southeastern Classic hosted by Berea (Ky.) College.
Williamson ran the 8,000-meter course in 26 minutes and 6.96 seconds to cross the line in eighth in the 120-man field. His finish is the third top-10 of the season.
Williamson ended with a team-best eight points towards the Blue Raiders' team total. Lindsey Wilson amassed 233 points in the 12-team event. University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) captured the team title with 67 points followed by host Berea with 70 points.
Garry Korir posted the second best time for Lindsey Wilson on Saturday. He ended the race in 27:23 to finish 35th overall. David Lee (28:55) and Ben Graham (31:01) finished 69th and 93rd respectively.
Eastern Kentucky University's Jeppe Harboe won the race in 25:24.
Saturday's race concludes the regular season for the Blue Raiders
Lindsey Wilson returns to action at the Mid-South Conference Championships on Saturday, Nov. 3 in Rio Grande, Ohio.
