COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson College women's swimming team edged Campbellville (Ky.) 62-46 and routed St. Catharine (Ky.) 95-3 in tri-meet action on Saturday afternoon at the Holloway Health & Wellness Center.
A closely-contested relay got the meet off to a wild start as Lindsey Wilson won the 200-yard medley relay with a time of two minutes and 1.58 seconds to 2:01.70. Racing for the Blue Raiders were Stephanie Davis, Kate Spaulding, Susan Herrington and Paige Lewis.
Spaulding was the next winner for the home team, taking the 100-breaststroke with a time of 1:13.59, while Kelsey Marshall also won in the 200-breast, touching in 2:40.39. Marshall's time was a new national-standard "B" cut for the Blue Raiders.
Sarah Wood cruised to a win in the 500-free, winning by nearly 30 seconds with a showing of 5:51.33.
Campbellsville did post a dominant win against St. Catharine, 70-9.
Lindsey Wilson returns to the pool at 6:30 p.m. CT on Nov. 2 at Asbury (Ky.).
