WILMORE, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College men and women's swimming team hit the road on Friday night traveling to Asbury (Ky.) University for a dual.
The road dual is the first of two this weekend for the Blue Raiders. Lindsey Wilson travels to Rhodes (Tenn.) College on Sunday.
Tonight, Lindsey Wilson dropped both duals falling in the men's match 87-56 and 88-53 in the women's dual. The losses are the first of the season for the Blue Raiders. Both teams move to 3-1 on the season.
Despite the losses, Lindsey Wilson left Wilmore with three national B cut standards.
Jonathan Hindman and Corey each earned B-standards for the men while Elena Nikolaeva reached the B-standard for the women.
Hindman captured the men's 200-yard breaststoke with a time of two minutes and 17.39 seconds. Trailing slightly following the first 50 yards, Hindman dominated the race over the final three legs to win by more than four seconds.
Hall was equally impressive in the 200 butterfly. Hall's 2:01.70 was nearly eight full seconds ahead of his competitor.
Both men earned nine points towards the team totals with the wins.
Nikolaeva picked up her national B-standard in the 400 IM with a time of 5:02.37. The time was good enough for a second place finish in the event and four points towards the team total.
Nikolaeva added nine points in the 200 backstroke while Kelsey Marshall (200 breaststroke) and Sarah Wood (500 Freestyle) also scored the maximum amount of points in their respective events on Friday.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action on Sunday as the Blue Raiders travel to Memphis, Tenn. to face Rhodes.
