COLUMBIA, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College men's tennis team had little trouble today in an 8-1 win over No. 24-ranked Martin Methodist (Tenn.) College at the Henry Baughman Tennis Complex.

The No. 12-ranked Blue Raiders improved to 10-4 on the season with the win while Martin Methodist falls to 4-3 with the loss.

The lone Blue Raider loss of the day came out of the top doubles point.

Vinicius Santos and Ramiro Vargas handed Fernando Bogajo and Pablo Vilches an 8-5 loss in the top doubles match.

But the Blue Raiders claimed the other two doubles wins with Fabricio Morales and Gilles Cornelis' 8-2 win over Fabio Santos and Alejandro Yanes and Victor Saez and Marlon Dal Pont's 8-3 win over Cristian Arias and Alvaro Morcillo.

The top singles match was the most competitive match of the day.

Bogajo out-lasted Santos 4-6, 6-0, 6-2 to claim the singles point and the team match for the Blue Raiders. The win gave Lindsey Wilson the necessary five points to claim the team win.

The remainder of the singles matches ended in straight sets.

Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 1 p.m. CT on Tuesday, March 20 as the Blue Raiders host Indiana University Tech at Henry Baughman Tennis Complex.
