Box Score

NEW ALBANY, Ind. -- It took just under two hours for the No. 12 Lindsey Wilson College men's tennis team to finish off Indiana Southeast 9-0 on Saturday in New Albany, Ind.

"We kind of started slow today," said Lindsey Wilson head coach Daniel Finn. "It wasn't easy conditions with the wind, but the guys did a good job of pulling it together and taking control of the match. Now we will have some work to do to get ready for a big match on Tuesday against Detroit."

The hardest segment of the match for the Blue Raiders was gaining the sweep in doubles.

Fernando Bogajo and Pable Vilches started out strong with an 8-0 win against Kevin Sacksteder and Tyler Jackson at the No. 1 seed, but the second and third seed matches were nail biters.

Fabricio Morales and Gilles Cornelis held on for an 8-6 win against Evan Biesterveld and Jordan Kelsey, while Marlon Dal Pont and Victor Saez posted the same winning score against Jimmy Nungester and Shane Burke.

Morales won first in singles at the second seed, topping Kelsey 6-1, 6-1 and Cornelis posted the winning match, giving Lindsey Wilson a 5-0 lead after a 6-2, 6-1 decision against Tyler Jackson.

The Blue Raiders cruised in all the other singles matches as Bogajo topped Sacksteder 6-0, 6-1 at No. 1, Vilches beat Burke 6-3, 6-1 at No. 3 and Saez cruised over Biesterveld 6-1, 6-1 at No. 4.

Dal Pont rounded out the singles wins with a 6-0, 6-1 showing against Edgar Mose as the sixth seed.
