KINGSPORT, Tenn. -- The Lindsey Wilson College women's golf team slipped to third place following today's round at the Mid-South Conference Spring Tournament at the Cattails at Meadowview Resort.
The Blue Raiders end the conference's spring tournament with a two-day total of 635 (315-320). University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) won the tournament with a 616 (307-309) and Campbellsville (Ky.) University finished second with a 626 (321-305).
Lindsey Wilson's Kaitlin Allan recorded the best score of the tournament for the Blue Raiders after ending in seventh place with a two-day total of 157 (79-78).
Jennifer MacKinnon and Paola Gonzalez tied for ninth overall with a total of 160. MacKinnon shot 79 today after an opening round 81. Gonzalez fired an 80 each day.
Kelsey Joslyn followed her opening round 76 with an 85 today to end with a 161, good enough for 12th in the 32-woman field. Candace Stacy ended in 13th with a 163 (80-83) to complete the Blue Raider team.
Cumberlands' Liz Stephens captured the individual title after beating Campbellsville's Katie White in a playoff. The pair finished regulation with 152s.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action on April 23-24 at the Mid-South Conference Championships at Bardstown Country Club at Maywood in Bardstown, Ky.
