Korir Paces Men's Cross Country at Greater Louisville Classic

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Garry Korir led the Lindsey Wilson College men's cross country team at the Greater Louisville Classic on Saturday, finishing 178th in the 306-harrier field at E.P Tom Sawyer State Park.

Korir clocked in at 29 minutes and 47.03 seconds as the fastest Blue Raider, while David Lee was one spot behind him with a showing of 29:48.25. As a team Lindsey Wilson finished 36th.

Ben Graham was the next Blue Raider across the finish line in 32:16.85 to take 265th place and Kameron Spivey wasn't too far behind with a time of 33:43.34.

The Blue Raider men ran the 8,000-kilometer course in the silver-race group, consisting of mainly NAIA and NCAA Div. II programs.

Franklin's Kris Sandlin took the individual title with a time of 25:57.28, while Spartanburg Methodist was the top team with 44 points and two finishers in the top 10. Hope and Tennessee Wesleyan rounded out the top three, respectively.

Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 3:30 p.m. CT on Oct. 12 at the Wilmington Invitational in Wilmington, Ohio.
