LONDON, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College women's golf team held steady in today's final round of the Bill Sergent Invitational hosted by University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) at Crooked Creek Golf Club.
After posting an opening-round 330 on Thursday, the Blue Raiders followed with a 331 today to finish with a team-total of 661 to finish the day in third -- the same spot where they opened the day.
Host Cumberlands captured the team title with a two-day total of 616 (303-313) while Lee (Tenn.) University finished second with a 631 (313-318).
Lindsey Wilson's Jennifer MacKinnon led the Blue Raiders over the two days with a 159 (81-78) to finish in a tie for eighth.
MacKinnon carded a pair of birdies today, including a bounce-back birdie on the 125-yard, par-3 sixth hole after posting a quadruple bogey at No. 7. MacKinnon -- who was even-par on the round entering No. 7 -- played steady over her final seven holes with a birdie and a couple of bogeys to shoot a team-best 78 on Friday.
Sara Koizumi joined MacKinnon in the top-10 with a tournament score of 161 (77-84). Koizumi was destined to shoot her second straight round in the 70s before posting a 10 on the par-5 No. 9.
Despite the big number, Koizumi played solid in her Blue Raider debut with a team-best six birdies during the tournament.
Kelsey Joslyn finished in a tie for 16th in the 46-women field with a 169 (88-81). Candace Stacy's 172 (84-88) ended in a tie for 19th while Amy Brown's 180 (89-91) was good enough for a tie for 29th.
Cumberlands' Liz Stephens captured the individual title with a 146 (69-77).
Lindsey Wilson returns to action on Sept. 17-18 at the Mid-South Conference Fall Tournament hosted at Campbellsville Country Club in Campbellsville, Ky.
