CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Lindsey Wilson men's swimming defeated Campbellsville (Ky.) University 98-4 while losing to Union (Ky.) College 64-38 in a double dual event at Campbellsville.
The Blue Raiders (4-1) won 5-of-13 events on the day, the 50 meter freestyle, 100 meter freestyle, 200 meter breaststroke, 200 meter individual medley and the 200 meter freestyle relay. Union won nine events on the day as they defeated both Lindsey Wilson and Campbellsville (87-13) in the double duals.
Luke Royal won both the 50 meter (26.32) and 100 meter free (58.49) while Jonathan Hindman won the 200 meter breaststroke (2:39.08) and individual medley (2:26.13). Royal and Hindman were both on the winning 200 meter freestyle relay that won in a time of 1:44.82. Hindman also placed second in the 100 meter breaststroke with a time of 1:11.15.
Iker Larzabal took second in the 800 meter freestyle (9:22.25) and the 400 meter freestyle (4:29.54) while Shelby Stevenson took fourth in the 800 meter freestyle with a time of 10:13.32.
Ryan Leamy placed second in the 200 meter freestyle (2:11.06) while teammate Tolga Dogruyol finished in third place in a time of 2:18.83. Leamy also placed third in the 400 meter freestyle in a time of 4:34.52.
Corey Hall placed second in the 200 meter butterfly (2:17.76) and the 100 meter butterfly (1:02.18) while Sam Tate took second in the 100 meter backstroke in a time of 1:08.55. Tate also placed third in the 200 meter backstroke (2:39.95). Tate was also a member of the third place 200 meter freestyle relay team.
Nicholas Coe grabbed second place in the 100 meter free with a time of 59.70 while Joshua Garner took third place in the 100 meter backstroke (1:23.16). Hayden Pendergraft placed third in the 100 meter backstroke (1:13.16) as well as fourth in the 200 meter backstroke (2:40.56).
Lindsey Wilson is next in the pool on Saturday, November 16 as they host Rhodes (Tenn.) College at the Holloway Center Natatorium at 12 p.m. CT.
