MAYFIELD, Ky. – Lindsey Wilson women's basketball defeated Mid-Continent (Ky.) University 90-53 behind a 24 point performance from Jamie Cummings.

Cummings went 7-for-10 from the field and 8-for-11 from the free-throw line as she scored her season high tonight. Cummings also grabbed a team high nine rebounds and went 2-for-2 from the three-point arc. Chanel Roberts scored 19 points on 9-for-12 shooting from the free-throw linds. Tara Arnold had a team high three assists.

The Blue Raiders (4-0, 0-0 MSC) trailed 5-2 earlier in the first half before Cummings two free throws made it 5-4 with just over 15 minutes left. Lindsey Wilson tied the game at 8-8 on a Roberts basket and took the lead after Cassidy Martin hit a three-point shot to make it 11-8.

The Cougars (0-5) retook the lead at 13-11 before Cummings turned it over, stole it back and hit a field goal to tie it at 13. The Blue Raiders then went on a 21-11 run to take a 10 point lead (34-24) with two and a half minutes remaining in the half. Lindsey Wilson led 41-27 at half.

Lindsey Wilson's bench scored 23 points compared to seven from Mid-Continent's bench. The Blue Raiders shot 80.95 percent from the free-throw line and 46.30 percent from the field.

The Blue Raiders went on another 20-11 run to start the second half to extend the lead to 61-38 and never looked back. Lindsey Wilson ended the game on a 19-7 run to win 90-58.

Kayla Richardson and Martin finished the game with 13 points each and Bre Elder added nine points in the win.

Chantiera Johnson led the Cougars with 24 points while Stephanie Malone grabbed 10 rebounds in the loss.
