COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Lindsey Wilson women's swimming took second in the tri-meet against Brenau (Ga.) University and Bethel (Tenn.) University. Brenau won the event with a score of 136.
The Blue Raiders scored 36 ponts in the tri-meet as both relays made the national "A" cut times while Elena Nikolaeva made the "A" cut in the 100 yard backstroke and the "B" cut in the 100 freestyle during individual medley and freestyle relays.
Lindsey Wilson 400 medley relay team made the national cut with a time of 4:26.19. Nikolaeva, Kelsey Marshall, Susan Herrington and Natalie Miller were on the relay team that took second in todays meet. The 400 yard freestyle team of Paige Lewis, Sarah Wood, Nikolaeva and Marshall made the "cut" with a time of 3:56.64.
Marshall took second in the 1000 yard freestyle with a time of 12:33.42 and third in the 100 yard breaststroke (1:16.72). Herrington (2:19.24) and Emma Newton (2:24.42) came in fourth and fifth respectively in the the 200 yard freestyle.
NIkolaeva placed second in the 100 backstroke with at time of 1:05.07 and third in the 200 yard individual medley (2:25.08).
Lewis (27.27) and Miller (28.66) took fourth and fifth in the 50 yard freestyle. Miller also placed fourth in the 100 yard freestyle in a time of 1:03.11.
Lindsey Wilson women's swimming travels to Campbellsville (Ky.) University for a tri-meet against Campbellsville and Union (Ky.) College on November 9 at 10 a.m. CT.
