COLUMBIA, Ky. – Lindsey Wilson outscored Campbellsville (Ky.) 36-32 in the second half, but with Courtney Clifton knocking down eight threes and finishing with 38 points, she was too much for the Blue Raiders to overcome, losing 75-62 on Monday night at Biggers Sports Center.

Ashley Rainey tried to match what Clifton was producing from the outside inside the paint, leading Lindsey Wilson with 30 points and a game-best 16 rebounds. Kasey Litzinger and Sarah Collins joined her in double figures with 11 and 10 points, respectively.

The Tigers also got a lift from Mackenzie Lee with 16 points on 7-of-18 shooting.

Lindsey Wilson kept things close for the first five minutes, even taking a four point lead at the 15:51 mark, but then Clifton took over the game. The Tiger senior attempted 12 3-pointers in the first half and connected on half of them, scoring 22 points in the first 20 minutes alone.

With Clifton torching the nets and Mrashi Karumba adding a three from the corner, the Blue Raiders were left out of sync.

Lindsey Wilson had done a nice job early getting Rainey going with 11 quick points, but her touches diminished as Campbellsville collapsed on the Blue Raiders' leading scorer.

Jasmine Brimm went 0 for 6 from the field in the first half, leaving Litzinger scoring six points, aided by a 4-for-5 showing from the stripe, as Rainey's primary help. Stacia Jo Hill hit a three early and Sarah Collins finished a three-point play to round out the first-half scoring.

After trailing 43-26 at halftime, the Blue Raiders got Rainey going again and came storming back in the second half. Behind 57-40, Lindsey Wilson went on a 13-2 run to cut the lead to six with 6:36 to play on a pair of Collins free throws.

Campbellsville, however, kept having an answer for every run. Collins had a chance to make it a six-point game again in the final two minutes, but missed a layup and ultimately the Blue Raiders simply ran out of chances.

Despite the loss, Pikeville (Ky.) also lost on Monday night at UVa.-Wise, meaning Lindsey Wilson holds on to the No. 8 seed for the Mid-South Conference Tournament in Frankfort, Ky., on Feb. 28 - March 3 at the Frankfort Convention Center.

The Blue Raiders will open postseason play at 1 p.m. CT on Thursday against top-seeded Cumberland (Tenn.).
