Box Score GEORGETOWN, Ky. – With the help of four matches won in shutout fashion, the fourth-ranked Lindsey Wilson men's tennis team earned a 5-0 win against Bluefield (Va.) on the Georgetown College campus on Tuesday.
The Rams played Georgetown later in the day, using the travel day into Kentucky to play Lindsey Wilson as well.
Playing until the match was decided, it took the Blue Raiders the minimum with three doubles wins and two more in singles.
At No. 1 doubles, Francisco Charters and Fernando Bogajo topped Chas Stonestreet and Lochlan Kitchen 8-2, while Gilles Cornelis and Fabricio Morales were 8-0 winners against James Gunn and Jordan Owens at No. 2.
Lindsey Wilson made it a clean 3-0 sweep in doubles as Marlon Dal Pont and Sam Rogerson beat Matthew Moore and Ben Rosado 8-0.
Only Bogajo and Rogerson needed to finish in singles action to seal the win.
As the top seed, Bogajo cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 win against Owens, while the fourth-seeded Rogerson defeated Gunn 6-0, 6-0 as well.
Wednesday's match at Campbellsville (Ky.) is postponed until a later date, leaving the next scheduled match as Northwestern Ohio at 2 p.m. CT on Friday at the Henry Baughman Tennis Complex.
