Box Score COLUMBIA, Ky. – It was a dominating performance for the fourth-ranked Lindsey Wilson men's tennis team against Georgetown (Ky.) on Wednesday, winning every match in straight sets for a 9-0 sweep at the Henry Baughman Tennis Complex.
The Blue Raiders (6-2, 4-0 MSC) were in control of the match with a 3-0 lead after doubles play.
Top-seeded and 22nd-ranked pair Fernando Bogajo and Francisco Charters cruised against Ryne Least and Gustavo Echeverria 8-2, before third-seeded Marlon Dal Pont and Sam Rogerson finished next with an 8-1 decision against Josh Clay and Wes Moses.
Fabricio Morales and Gilles Cornelis stayed on the court the longest in doubles for an 8-5 win against Jacob Loveland and Chris Bartlett.
Bogajo, ranked 11th in the NAIA, finished first in singles, winning 6-2, 6-2 against Echeverria. Morales clinched the win for Lindsey Wilson at the No. 2 seed with a 6-3, 6-2 win against Bartlett to make the overall score 5-0.
Other scored include third-seeded Dal Pont topping Least 6-3, 6-4, Charters beating Loveland 6-0, 6-1 at No. 4, Rogerson cruising 6-1, 6-1 against Clay at No. 5 and Cornelis finishing off the win against Moses 6-1, 6-0.
Lindsey Wilson plays next at 1:30 p.m. CT on Saturday at Murray State in Murray, Ky.
