Box Score CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The fourth-ranked Lindsey Wilson men's tennis team came up short on a Sunday trip to Austin Peay (Tenn.), losing 5-2 against the Governors with victories at the top and bottom of the singles order at the Austin Peay Tennis Center.
Top-seeded Fernando Bogajo won in straight sets over Jasmin Ademovic 6-4, 6-3, while No. 6-seed Gilles Cornelis topped Evan Borowski 7-6, 6-2. The Governors ended the match with wins at No. 3 and No. 4, forcing No. 2 seed Fabricio Morales and fifth-seeded Francisco Charters to retire in their matches.
Austin Peay (4-2) snagged the doubles point with a pair of wins at No.1 and No. 3. The Blue Raiders (2-2) got one win during doubles as Morales and Cornelis teamed up to beat John Storie and Aleksas Tverijonas 8-1.
Lindsey Wilson is back on the courts at 1 p.m. CT on Sunday, hosting Pikeville (Ky.) at the Henry Baughman Tennis Complex.
